It was a couple of days after they had reached Hong Kong. Eivindur was exploring the city with mild interest. He wasn't very excited about getting to know it. The air felt too thick, the people were too many and too loud. But he guessed it was better than sitting around in a hotel room doing nothing.

However he quickly grew bored. He was on his way back to the hotel when he suddenly paused in the middle of the street. He sensed that his powers were active, shielding him from something. He usually couldn't tell, because as long as he was awake he would always be shadowing himself and anyone around him. But he had learned to distinguish that slight tingle that told him someone who possessed physic powers were close.

His gaze landed on a young, blonde man who looked just as lost in this city as Eivindur himself felt.
There was something familiar about the image.

Being the head of the Norwegian Division, Lars had his own theme of watchers. Constantly drawing down their visions. Eivindur often flipped through the sketchbooks. The information they contained was classified, but nobody would question him, because they all knew he had more influence over their leader than anyone. The reason why he was interested in their work was simple. He was looking for a chance to prove his worth. He wanted to prove to Lars that if he got to tag along on his constant missions he would be helpful rather than being in the way.

Even before they traveled to Hong Kong he had noticed drawings of a young man with blonde hair and bright blue eyes. They had said he was a skilled Watcher. One who hardly acknowledged his own powers, but could become useful if captured by Division.

This had to be him.

Little did he know that the drawings had been of the boy's roomate. Had he studied them more closely he would have realized that this wasn't the right guy. But he was only assuming by what he remembered, and really, how many tall, blonde teenagers could there be in Hong Kong?

It had only been 10 minutes. 'Oh let's go for a walk!' No. Bad idea, Matthew. Worst idea you've had yet. The streets were busy, he could hardly breathe, and there wasn't a single white guy in sight. Lost, utterly and completely lost, Matt looked up at the tall buildings, at the numbered apartment buildings and at the foreign street signs.

Matthew was standing at the corner of an intersection, watching unfamiliar faces pass him by, looking around for anything recognizable. A store, a landmark, anything, and he found nothing. "'Spose anywhere is better than back at the apartment, right? Noisy sunnuva-" he out a sigh, and messed up his hair in frustration. Matt had no right to swear at the other behind his back, nor to his face. Either way, he resumed muttering under his breath "Noisy, obnoxious, rude, cocky..." The list continued, and he headed over to a cross walk, running across the street once the cars stopped.

This was nothing like Victoria. Sure, there were plenty of people - including many Asians - and sure, there were tall buildings, but in Victoria, it varied from being the busy city to being a fishing town just around the corner. There were even houses on the water. Literally. In parks, the trout would swim in streams, and in mating season they would force themselves against the current and swim upstream to lay eggs.

The next time Matthew wanted to get out of his small, cramped, now noisy, apartment, he was heading to the buildings lobby. Not to mention he couldn't BREATHE. The pollution, the overwhelming smell of fried food, it was all too much to handle.

Naturally, the oblivion to his surroundings was at a dangerously high level. Still staring up at the tall buildings, he hadn't noticed that someone was watching him. Quietly, he stood, as a foreigner, lost, a mere 15 minute walk away from his apartment.

It's ok, dear <3

Eyvindur watched the other intently, not wanting to lose sight of him amongst the crowd. And the crowd was indeed a hindrance in more than one way. How would he capture the boy and bring him to the Nordic Division's current lair without making a scene? Fortunately it was one of the rare cases where his powers were truly useful. Even if he was facing what he believed to be a Watcher, he could plan out his next move without worrying that his victim would trace his thoughts. In other words it shouldn't be too difficult to approach him and keep his intentions hidden, but judging by how the blonde seemed to be spacing out there was a much more simple option. One that was slightly brutal yet effective.

Like most members of Divison he carried a gun, thought it was rarely used for anything but self defense. Killing was not something he enjoyed and he wasn't planning to go that far. Just making the other believe he was in danger was enough. With swift steps he made his way across the street, dust swirling around his black, laced boots (The white pair had been left at home seeing as he didn't want them to get dirty). He headed towards a narrow alleyway close to where the boy was standing, then on his way past him he quickly wrapped an arm around his waist and put a hand over his mouth before yanking him backwards into the darkness of the alley.

He had to move fast, pulling the gun out and pressing it into the blonde's back before he had the chance to struggle. The boy was taller than him and he might even be stronger, but Eyvindur didn't give him enough time to prove this. "Don't try something stupid or it will be the last thing you do" he whispered and clicked the safety off to let him know he was serious. "I'm sure you realize that includes screaming" he added, slowly loosening the firm grip on his jaw. He held his breath then and hoped that he wouldn't be given a reason to shoot. Because as much as he hated to admit it; he wouldn't dare.

Never before has Matt felt like he was moving so fast. Everything happened quickly, too quickly. He couldn't even register there was a gun pointed at his back until he heard the click of the gun. His eyes grew wide and he his breath grew short, and became close to hyperventilating. No struggling, no screaming, no running away. He could do that. And just to be safe, a 'no talking unless spoken to'. Matt was not ready to get shot. Scratch the no talking rule, he needed to ask questions, and probably plea for his life. Was this man trying to much him? Should he give up his money? It was probably his best guess, considering he would never have though his powers would be the cause.

"P-Please, d-don't shoot," he muttered quietly, knowing he sounded like a tool. Never before had he seen a gun, not to mention threatened with one. A voice that worked would be convenient, but you can't have everything now, can you? Though he never noticed himself, he was trembling, but he did know he was terrified. Were there others coming? He didn't have any money to give up! How many rich students do you see running around?

So many questions swirled in his head, and, to be honest, the majority, he didn't want answered. And at that, Matthew waited silently for what was to come next.

Eyvindur began to calm. The boy was obviously a lot more nervous than he was. And he should be. After all Eyvindur wasn't the one being threatened with a gun. "I'm not going to shoot you as long as you do what I say" he answered and let go off the other, still pressing the gun into his back to remind him that running away would be fatal.

"Now," he continued, praying that his plan would work smoothly "I'm going to start walking, and I want you to go with me. The moment you stray from my side you'll be shot. Understood?" If he was dealing with a member of Division there was no way it would work, but this was merely a terrified young student. He probably didn't have the guts to escape if he thought his life was in danger. Slowly, he pulled the gun away and slipped it inside his jacket. He couldn't risk leaving it out in the open since someone would surely notice. With a light push he signalized for the boy to start walking. "Gun stays hidden for now, but I wont hesitate to pull it back out if you cause trouble" he whispered before leading him back into the streets.

He considered heading straight for the Division's headquarters, but it would be a long walk. And the more time they spent getting there, the higher was the risk that his captive would recover from the shock and try to get away. In the end he started walking towards the hotel he and Lars had been staying at. It would be easier to keep the boy there until his leader returned.

He nodded. As appealing as it was, no way in hell was he going to risk his life, or the lives of others, by running away. It was always a possibility that others could get hurt. Of course, many scenarios were going on inside the Canadians head, and none were good. If he did this, that would happen, then this would happen..

At the disappearance of the gun, Matt's shoulders relaxed. He nodded again, stumbling forward, back to where he had been standing, completely and utterly lost, only a few minutes before hand.

Matthew finally spoke when they reached the middle of the crowded street, only after taking a dew steps. It was far too risky to say anything in the alley, but out here, he can't get shot for just anything. "S-So where are we going?" he whispered, curiosity finally getting the best of him. "No where.. N-No where dangerous, r-right?" he added to his first question, more for reassurance than a real answer. Keeping his head down, paying much attention to where the other males hands were, his mind was still on the gun.

[ For some reason, my brain is dying. I just had to delete two posts. Holy shit.

And it's really short. May I borrow your gun? ]

Eyvindur was hesitant to answer the question. The other might have been acting obedient so far, but that could change in an instant if Division was mentioned. Of course, it was possible that he had never heard of their organization but most who possessed powers did know, because they had a high risk of being captured. "Nowhere dangerous" he assured him. It was a lie, however. He didn't know if the Division was interested in this kid to make use of his powers, or if they merely wanted to get rid of a future threat. And despite his training, with constant reminders that taking someone's life was justified if it benefited the Division, he felt terrible. But if he gave in now he'd only be making a fool of himself. So he remained calm, acting as if the situation was nothing new to him.

Once they reached the hotel he let out a quiet sigh of relief. Noise could still be heard from outside, but at least it wasn't as crowded, and he could breathe in the air without feeling like he would gag. As they walked through the lobby he kept a hand on the gun, making sure to hide it beneath his jacket. It wasn't until they had reached the elevator that he found it safe to make his intentions clearer. "I'm sure you've already realized that this isn't about money" he said, pressing the button that would lead them to the third floor "You inherit a special ability. I'm part of an organization consisting of people with psychic powers. Yours make you what we call a Watcher".

He paused when the elevator doors slid open and led the younger male through the hallway until they reached the hotel room he was staying at. Since they were currently alone he held the gun visible while he unlocked the door. Just to make sure he wouldn't think he was letting his guard down. He was cursing mentaly when he spent a lot more time unlocking it than necessary due to how his hands were shaking. Sure, he was an agent, but it was rare that he got a chance to act like one and the adrenaline was getting to him. His face had gotten slightly red with frustration when he finally opened the door and motioned for the other to enter. "My superiors are interested in your powers" he continued, locking the door behind him when they were both inside "I'm keeping you here until they return. What happens after that is for them to decide".

Eyvindur's words of 'comfort' hardly did any comforting at all. Matthew was still scared out of his mind. If he really was headed to a safe place, why does his captur have a gun? He guessed it was a normal thing with kidnappers. Never before had he felt so ill. Never had he been so confused, it made him feel as though he was about to throw up, as disgusting as it is. No, he had no idea that what lay ahead was far worse than what he was imagining in his mind, even if he did know it involved the divison, Matthew had no idea what they did or would do to him. There was nothing worse than being in the dark in a foreign land where no one gave a second thpught to who you were. 'Keep it together, Matt,' he thoight to himself. 'No breaking down here..'

The hotel scared Matt more than being outside with the other did. Probably because of the lack of witnesses, a lack of security. The elevator was no better, in fact if was worse. Stannding as far away as possible in such a tight place, he listened in silence to the wgite haired boy. Really, he didn't look much older than himself...

Division, division... Where had he heard this title which he ever before gave a second thought to? But he did know of his own powers, how the other knew of them caught Matt's attention. "Watcher...?" he mouthed out loud as he followed the stranger down the hallway, where they stopped at a door. How was it he knew about himself, not to mention something no one knew about, while he knew nothing about him? Matthew didnt know his ability even had a name!

It took a lot not to start running at the sight of the gun. Instead he waited for the door to ne unlocked by hands much more nervous than he thought. Head hung low, he shuffled ahead into the appartment, sliding down a wall, essentially collapsing. He brought his knees in and hugged his legs, resting his forehead between his knees. "i d-don't understand anything.." he began, finally finding a decent voice "my uh, powers.. They aren't that great. Almost non existant! R-really your superiors will be wasting their time..." letting out a nervous laugh, he shot the other a glance before continuing. "L-less deciding and uh, stuff to do on their behalf i-if you were t-to simply let me leave now..." No wat in hell wad Matt going to sit here if he had the choice.

Eyvindur hoped that Lars or at least someone higher up in division than himself would return to the hotel soon. Not only would it be troublesome to keep this guy captured in his room. It would be.... awkward. Kidnapping was something very common among Division members. Eyvindur had pretty much been kidnapped as well even if his partly fake memories told him that he had been rescued by them. But he had no idea what to do with his captive. Should he just stand there and watch over him even if it might take hours? Perhaps try to start a conversation? He tried to figure out what any of the others from the Nordic Division might have done, but as his thoughts fell upon Mathias he decide he really didn't want to know. When he heard the other suggest that he let him go he was almost tempted to agree, just to avoid having to brood over it.

"So you do acknowledge your powers?" he asked, trying not to show any signs of weakness. Thankfully he was a lot like Lars when it came to facial expressions. Unless anger made him lose his composure it was nearly impossible to read his emotions. The only difference was that Eyvindur was only cold on the outside. His emotions and thoughts could go wild while nobody noticed. Even now he was feeling very insecure as well as exited over his actions. Having accomplished something for the Division all on his own.

If this was even the right guy...

He certainly had powers, because the Icelander could sense them, and he had even admitted it. However the one they were after was exceptionally strong. He had to be if he had seen visions important to them right? "Have you ever tried testing your powers. To see how accurate they can get?" he said, fiddling with the gun because he didn't really know what to do with it. Putting it away could be a fatal mistake. "You get visions of the future don't you? I'm sure you've discovered that most of these events will truly happen unless you do anything to change them"

Getting kidnapped in a foreign land was tiring. What was it that the white haired boy didn't understand about that? Matt was at the point where he wanted silence and to fall asleep in a warm bed. Not discuss his powers, which he did so very well to hide and not ever bring up, with a complete stranger. He gave a Solent nod in response to the first question asked. Yes he ackowledged his powers, suff like this wasn't easy to ignore.

Grateful he was though to the other, he hadn't been remotely hurt since they met. Scared, but not hurt. Still, getting threatened with a gun and awaiting an unknown future now was extremely exhausting. Future? No, no, that isn't right. Now laughing quietly he stared and even smiled at his kidnapper. "Im sorry but you're wrong about that.. I see quite the opposite," did this mean he could go home and simply forget this happened? "I see the past, well um, almost.." Supossing not much of an explanation was needed, registering Eyvindur seemed to know more about these powers than anyone else, Matthew dropped his explanation short.

Standing up once more, slightly light headed from the rush, he took a step towards the door. "you won't be needig me then, will you?" he was truly excited to get out of he appartment, away from it all and never thought his actions out before following through with them.
